What would happen if most PWS (some of the time), their parents and institutional bill-payers read The Treatment of Stuttering, the highly accessible classic by Charles Van Riper? What if they were to compare the ideal in stuttering therapy philosophy and the much, much less than that ideal in what usually passes for stuttering therapy these days? What if they were appalled by the difference? What if, as a result of their new knowledge, they became much more demanding? Could the profession cope? - Ed Feuer edfeuer@mts.net
