In Memoriam - Glyndon Riley
Glyndon D. Riley, professor emeritus of speech communication, died Sept. 2. He was 85.
Riley joined the campus in 1966 and developed a diagnostic scale called the Stuttering Severity Instrument for Children and Adults in the early 1970s. In 1995, the Center for Children Who Stutter opened its doors on campus with Riley as its acting director. He and his wife, Jeanna, served on the center's executive board.
In addition to his wife, Riley is survived by four children, Randy Scott, Randall Glen, Lori Suzette and Rene Ellen; and grandchildren, Bethany Ann, David James and Katie Elizabeth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center for Children Who Stutter.

The Center for Children Who Stutter at California State University, Fullerton - "was founded in 1995 by Drs. Glyndon Riley, Jeanna Riley, Robert Emry and Elizabeth Mechling--working with the faculty and graduate students in Communicative Disorders along with community leader Ira Zimmerman." The Center for Children Who Stutter not only provides diagnosis, prevention and treatment services, but also world class Professional Conferences since 1998.
