Accreditation & BSSW Program Outcomes
The social work major at Minnesota State University, Mankato (Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree program) has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) since 1974. This accredited professional degree prepares graduates to work in a wide range of human service agencies, with clients ranging from infants to senior citizens, and with challenges such as poverty, mental illness, disabilities, health problems, chemical dependency, and many others. If you enjoy working with people and want the knowledge, skills, and values to serve them professionally then social work may be your degree!
The BSSW program at Minnesota State University, Mankato has been accredited continuously since February 1974 by the Council on Social Work Education(CSWE) for preparation of generalist social work practitioners at the baccalaureate-level. Our most recent reaffirmation of accreditation was completed in Spring 2011. Documents were reviewed and a site visit occurred resulting in a reaffirmation of our accredited status through 2018!
