Why Obtain an Internship?

Internships are a critical professional development opportunity that enable students to build on the skills and real-world experience gained in their coursework through a hands-on practical application with a sport organization.

Where do our students intern?

Our students have interned with a variety of sport organizations such as, university athletic departments, professional sport teams such as the Timberwolves, Lynx, Wild, Minnesota United FC, Vikings, minor league sport organizations, the National Sports Center, Life Time, various US Olympic governing bodies and many more!

How to Obtain an Internship?

Students work with their advisor to discuss career aspirations and obtain guidance to find an internship. Click  here for FAQ. Once an internship is obtained, then the student needs to apply to obtain approval for their internship.
