Family Focused Nursing
The School of Nursing mission and vision emphasizes nursing practice with a focus on the individual, family, and society. Whether an illness is chronic or acute, multiple family responses contribute to a complex experience that affects the individual living with an illness and the family’s health. Family nursing theory, education, and research is advancing nursing practice more fully toward a family unit and family focused approach to care in all settings, with all families.
