Sport Tourism to the Virgin Islands Class

Periodically Minnesota State Mankato Sport Management students will have the opportunity to take a Sport Tourism to the Virgin Islands class and learn about international sport management. The purpose of this class will be to introduce students to global sport management while participating in sport and cultural opportunities while in St. John.

During the weeklong trip, students will tour various sport venues including Concordia Camps, Cruz Bay Watersports, the National Park Service in St. John, the Baths on Virgin Gorda, and meet with tour operators about the tourism business, organization, management, marketing, etc. Students will also assist in the preparation and organization of a Power Swim Race.
