Licensing

Professional Licensing Disclosure for the BSSW Program

The Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) is a national organization that develops and maintains the social work licensing exams that are used to test a social worker's competence to practice ethically and safely. ASWB works collaboratively with the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and the National Association of Social Work (NASW) to ensure that all levels of the social work licensure exams meet professional standards. The BSSW Program at Minnesota State University, Mankato is accredited through CSWE and because of this, all graduates of the BSSW program meet the requirements and criteria to take the national ASWB social work exam. All states accept the BSSW degree conferred at Minnesota State Mankato because it is accredited through CSWE.
