Join a vibrant community of scholars in our Writing Group designed explicitly for faculty members and PhD students with a passion for manuscripts focusing on family and societal health. Collaborate with international colleagues, refine your writing, and extend your professional network on a global scale.

Program Goals

Our initiative is tailored to:

  • Enhance your scholarly writing skills.
  • Offer constructive feedback on your writing.
  • Expand your international professional network.
  • Facilitate successful publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Bi-Weekly Sessions

Engage in our bi-weekly 1-hour sessions, conducted from February to April and September to November, available in two groups:

Pacific Group: Ideal for participants from Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, and Canada, meeting during evening hours in the Americas and morning/afternoon in Australia/New Zealand.

Atlantic Group: Catering to Europe, Africa, and the Americas, with meetings scheduled for morning hours in the Americas and afternoons in Europe/Africa.

Session Format

Our sessions include:

  • Presentations and discussions on publication-related topics such as journal selection, use of AI in research, and conducting literature reviews.
  • Progress updates from members on their manuscript development.
  • A nurturing environment that encourages supportive and constructive feedback from a global perspective.

We leverage the comprehensive syllabus and workbook titled *Writing Your Journal Article in Twelve Weeks: A Guide to Academic Publishing Success* by Wendy L. Belcher to guide our sessions.

Virtual Connectivity

Our weekly group sessions are hosted on Zoom, providing easy access from anywhere in the world. Participation is complimentary, with groups capped at 12 members to ensure a quality experience.
