Writing Group for Faculty with International Partners

You are invited to join the Global Writing Group. Over the last four years this group has evolved, so even if you have attended before we encourage you to participate again.

Benefits of this group:

Our initiative is tailored to:

  • Networking and collaboration with other scholars as they perform and write for scholarship.
  • Interdisciplinary participants.
  • Commitment is to attend sessions 6 times during the semester.

The meeting days and times for September – December are:

  1. Atlantic/Europe/South Africa (Atlantic) meets at 10am CST in the US
  2.  Japan/New Zealand/Australia (Pacific) meets at 7pm CST in the US

6 Sessions per Semester

Each group will meet 6 times per semester for 1-hour, (roughly bi-weekly) conducted from February to April and September to November, available in two groups:

Pacific Group: Ideal for participants from Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, and Canada, meeting during evening hours in the Americas and morning/afternoon in Australia/New Zealand.

Atlantic Group: Catering to Europe, Africa, and the Americas, with meetings scheduled for morning hours in the Americas and afternoons in Europe/Africa.

Session Format

Our sessions include:

  • Presentations and discussions on publication-related topics such as journal selection, use of AI in research, and conducting literature reviews.
  • Progress updates from members on their manuscript development.
  • A nurturing environment that encourages supportive and constructive feedback from a global perspective.

Virtual Connectivity

Our sessions are hosted on Zoom, providing easy access from anywhere in the world. Participation is complimentary, with groups capped at 12 members to ensure a quality experience.
