JOIN A GROWING FIELD
Because Applied Health Science is a growing and evolving field, our graduates will have flexibility in career options. Overall employment of health education specialists and related occupations is projected to grow 13 percent from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations.

Graduates will be prepared for roles in a varity of settings including: governmental agencies, private and voluntary health organizations, health care facilities, businesses, hospitals and nonprofit organizations.
An example of career titles, per the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, include:
- Health Education Specialist
- Social and Community Service Managers
- Medical and Health Services Managers
continue your Education
For those who want to continue their education, graduates of the Appled Health Science program will be qualifed to apply to content-specific Certificate programs, Master's of Public Health programs, or Doctoral programs. Examples of advanced degrees include: global health, gerontology, healthcare management, biostatistics, sexual & reproductive health and addiction intervention, safety management, eepidemiology, infectious disease control, environmental health, violence prevention, global health, and other issues that affect health and safety. Graduate program eligibility will vary by graduate school and/or program.
