About Allied Health Belonging
Allied Health & Nursing Belonging mission statement:
Our mission is to cultivate a community of learning and service that prioritizes equity, inclusion, and belonging. Through education and active engagement, we aim to deconstruct racism and oppression, integrating culturally responsive practices to advance the wellness of diverse populations within Allied Health and Nursing.
Belonging works to plan and implement initiatives and events that recognize and elevate the values of belonging and accessibility within the College of Allied Health and Nursing.
In partnership with the University and our community, we aim to:
- Foster a strong sense of belonging among students, faculty, and staff in the College.
- Enhance our students' communication and cultural awareness, preparing them to be allied health professionals who can build belonging in their future communities.
Belonging will expand on the College’s values to emphasize inquiry, responsibility, civility, collegiality, respect, collaboration, and social justice, focusing on the dynamic challenges our future allied health professionals will encounter.
