  • The Rice/Wexler Test of Early Grammatical Impairment (Rice/Wexler) is an individually administered clinical tool that can be used for the identification, diagnosis, screening, and follow-up evaluation of grammatical deficits in young children, ages 3 through 8 years, who speak Standard American English (SAE).   • The Edmonton Narrative Norms Instrument (ENNI) (http://www.rehabmed.ualberta.ca/spa/enni/) is norm-referenced narrative assessment instrument for collecting language information from children aged 4 to 9 through storytelling, by Phyllis Schneider, Rita Vis Dube', and Denyse Hayward. Contains several stories without words. Norms from a sample of 377 children are included for a number of analyses, including story information, referring expressions, and standard language analyses such as number of different words, Mean Length of Communication Unit, and Subordination Index.
