Student Organizations
The Social Work Club is supported by the Social Work faculty, but organized and administered by students. The Social Work club is very active on campus and we are very proud of our involvement in the community. As a Social Work student, you'll be encouraged to join - it's never too early or too late to do so! The Club announces it meeting dates/times and activities through a Facebook page and on the Social Work Department's listserv.
"The purposes of Phi Alpha Honor Society are to provide a closer bond among students of social work and promote humanitarian goals and ideals. Phi Alpha fosters higher standards of training for social workers and invites into membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work."
The Social Work Department sponsors a chapter of this national Honor Society. Membership is by invitation, which is based on academic achievement and a demonstrated commitment to the profession.
