Career Opportunities Available for Students Completing This Program
Our 18-credit online Child, Youth, & Family Services (CYF) Certificate prepares students for employment/promotion in a variety of in-demand helping professions. Public and private organizations are seeking college-educated professionals with knowledge and skills in childcare, youth leadership, family programming, adult care, and professional writing/speaking.
This certificate responds to a global need for college-educated professionals who can effectively work with children, youth, families, and individuals in a variety of “helping” fields (e.g., childcare, family services, etc.).
Our highly trained faculty and instructors provide students with a flexible student-focused and culturally informed online learning environment. Students take a variety of courses focusing on development through the lifespan, applicable systems/ecological-focused theory, professional presentations, and writing. No prerequisite knowledge is needed. Students may be new to college, looking to enhance prior knowledge, and/or develop a resume. Our certificate may be completed in just two semesters and is always 100% online.
