As one of just three dental hygiene programs in the state of Minnesota offering a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene, our students receive the clinical and theoretical foundation necessary for a fulfilling and in-demand career.
Since 2013, all students have passed the national, written exam on the first attempt. The Dental Hygiene Program is approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
Our graduates go on to be clinicians, change agents, educators, researchers, and consumer advocates as put forth by the American Dental Hygienists' Association.
Our dental hygiene students work with dedicated faculty in an award-winning facility, including our 25-chair public dental clinic.
Prior to working on patients, students have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of a dental clinic starting in our dental simulation lab, where students practice dental hygiene skills in a safe, realistic environment.
We encourage and support our students as they participate in research, study abroad and national dental hygiene organizations and involve students in our ongoing efforts to improve access to dental care.
