Clinical & Community Partnerships

The Pre-Licensure Program provides many opportunities for students to engage in direct hands-on experiences, enabling them to connect theories and knowledge learned in the classroom, to real-world situations. These experiential learning opportunities bring students into urban and rural settings, and include clinical rotations and service learning projects. Nursing students are responsible for transportation to these activities and may take place in the Twin Cities and South Central Minnesota. These rich experiences enhance the learning and development of students, and prepare them for generalist nursing practice.

Clinical Rotations

Throughout the four-semester program, students will complete 8 clinical rotations, each of varying lengths. In total, graduates will receive over 500 hours of clinical experience. Working with the Program Coordinator, students provide input and are assigned clinical sites each semester.
