"Merchants of Doubt" available to view for free
The Mavericks for Clean Air Task Force and the Environmental Committee are partnering to provide free access to "Merchants of Doubt," a documentary that becomes even more relevant as the Covid-19 pandemic unfolds.
The documentary examines the roles of pundits, scientists, government, and media in shaping public polices and perceptions regarding climate change and other issues. The film works to develop critical thinking skills by encouraging the viewer to sort through confusing messages and distinguish between truth, propaganda, and misinformation. Faculty are welcome to offer students the opportunity to view this documentary as an optional, extra credit or required assignment. Any Minnesota State Mankato community member with a Star ID and password can watch it for no cost for a full year through our library system.
