Health Science professor receives community engagement award

Dr. Joe Visker, a professor in the Department of Health Science, posing with Dr. James Hebl MD, regional vice president of Mayo Health System, after receiving the Outstanding Community Engagement AwardJoe Visker, a professor in the Department of Health Science, was awarded the "Outstanding Community Engagement Award" from Mayo Clinic Health System for his work with their Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).

The CHNA is a process that involves identifying and prioritizing key health needs, studying demographics, conducting surveys of health care issues, doing analysis, and planning to address the health needs of the community.

Dr. Visker was presented this award by Dr. James Hebl MD, regional vice president of Mayo Health System. Congratulations!
