Family Consumer Science student named Miss Minnesota
Kathryn Kueppers, who studied in the Department of Family Consumer Science, was crowned Miss Minnesota in the summer of 2019 and competed for the title of Miss America in December 2019.
Kueppers, who studied at Minnesota State University, Mankato from 2018-19, has been championing the new direction of the Miss America program, which in recent years has eliminated the swimsuit competition and placed more emphasis on scholarship, education and character.
