The Maverick Family Nursing Simulation Center is an accredited, state-of-the-art facility that utilizes innovative technology to help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical settings. In simulation, learners practice high risk, low occurrence scenarios to develop their clinical skills and expertise in a safe, realistic environment.
The 16,000-square-foot Maverick Family Simulation Center is located in the Clinical Sciences Building.
The expanded space and equipment resources provide access to 13 high fidelity mannequins, ranging from newborns to adults.
The Maverick Family Nursing Simulation Center collaborates with Center for Workforce Professional Education to provide training to meet the needs of organizations through grants and customized training. Family nursing, which is core to nursing education at Minnesota State Mankato, is incorporated into each of our trainings.
