2020 Project community connect

Many of the Social Work Department's students, staff, and faculty members participate in this community event each year.  Volunteering for Project Community Connect is a great opportunity to learn about a wide array of agencies and services, network, and demonstrate the values of the social work profession as well as engage in behaviors specific to social work education’s core competencies.

Last year, more than 600 guests attended Project Community Connect to receive resources. The event had over 75 volunteers and 150 providers!

 

Get Involved!

SOWK students are encouraged to volunteer. It is a great opportunity  to learn more about organizations/agencies in our community and to practice or apply your social work knowledge and skills!
