Cruise Culture Study Abroad

THIS OPPORTUNITY IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD DUE TO THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC SITUATION.

Since 2015, the Recreation Parks and Leisure Services department has offered a course on learning all about cruise culture. They spend seven days aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship porting at different island throughout the Caribbean such as Bahamas, St. Thomas, Haiti, Jamaica, Cozumel, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Curacao, and St. Maarten. Not only do they learn all about the Cruise industry, getting a behind the scenes tour of the cruise ship, but they also participate in many excursions on the islands they port at such as; snorkeling, ziplining, river rafting, mini submarine adventures, ATV jungle excursions, swimming with string rays, and sailing.
