Program Outcomes

The athletic training program at Minnesota State University, Mankato (MSU) has been highly successful over the past 45 years. The program has been very successful not only on the Board of Certification (BOC) examination with a three year aggregate (2012-14) mean first time pass rate of 89% and an overall pass rate of 96% (from alumni who chose not to take the exam), but with a virtual 100% placement rate. All program alumni who seek either employment or graduate school following their undergraduate education at MSU find it. MSU has one of the oldest and most well-established athletic training programs in the country. Our graduates are or have been employed in all athletic training practice settings from high schools to clinics, from collegiate to professional, from hospital to physician offices. Program alumni have been very successful in those employment settings as well as in gaining admission to the top graduate programs in the country. You may review our program BOC pass rates, as well as all others (of varying institution types, varying number of students taking the BOC exam from each institution, and by region) in the country by visiting
