Social determinants of health can have profound impacts on individuals and communities.

Societal health is impacted by a range of factors including personal, social, environmental, and economic behaviors and practices. These behaviors and health practices lend themselves to approaches to care that employ interprofessional strategies. Therefore, a guiding framework for this conference is the Social Determinants of Health as defined by the World Health Organization.
