The purpose of the Health and Biomedical Sciences Events is to recognize and reflect on the health of our communities to enhance the quality of life and wellbeing for all through the gathering and dissemination of knowledge and best practices.

Societal health is impacted by a range of factors including personal, social, environmental, and economic behaviors and practices. These behaviors and health practices lend themselves to approaches to care that employ interprofessional strategies. Therefore, a guiding framework for this conference is the Social Determinants of Health as defined by the World Health Organization.
