Director of Minnesota Institute for Natural Resources, Agriculture and Land Stewardship (MINRALS)

This position will direct applied research and curricular endeavors across all divisions, colleges, and multiple departments and disciplines.  The Director will oversee the Water Resource Center (WRC), led by an Associate Director, to achieve strategic outreach and external funding priorities.  The Director will lead a team of MINRALS affiliated faculty and staff to advance the University's distinctiveness in academic, research, and industry initiatives in Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, and related areas in service to the region, state, nation, and global society.  As an academic leader, the Director of MINRALS may participate on the University's Council of Deans and President's Expanded Cabinet, as guided by strategic priorities.  A full position description can be found:  

Summer Guide/Activities Staff, Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior

With a focus on instruction, interpretation and safety, we lead tours that are complimentary to Lutsen Resort guests including; sea kayaking on Lake Superior, inland lake kayaking and stand-up-paddle boarding, naturalist hikes on beautiful parts of the Superior Hiking Trail, fly fishing instructions, morning yoga or stretch sessions, and various kids programs.  We also provide trail resources and information at our activities desk.  Our summer session runs May 30th - Sept 4th.  The first two weeks in June are staff training, which includes program preparation, exploring our work spaces, and an ACA Level 2 sea kayaking assessment.  Guides work 40 hours a week with competitive pay.  Affordable, shared, on-site housing is available.  Lunch provided daily.  Send resume and cover letter to:
