Department Announcements

  • Dr. Brooke Burk is a new incoming board member to serve a three year term for Minnesota Recreation and Park Foundation.
  • The Association of Outdoor Recreation Edcuation awarded grant funds to conduct a research study on barriers to participation and willingness to pay to develop campus outdoor recreation programs.  The project team includes RPLS faculty - Dr. Robyn Ceurvorst, Dr. Jonathan Hicks, and Dr. Rachelle Fuller; Adventure Education Coordinator - Sam Steiger; Experiential Education Graduate Assistant - David Childers; and Undergraduate Researcher - Madeline DuBois.  Results will be presented to MSSA and the upcoming AORE conference.  
  • Dr. Jonathon Hicks is the newest faculty member to be joining the Recreation, Parks and Leisure family this fall.  Welcome Dr. Hicks!.  .
