Pre-Nursing Advising

Page address:

The School of Nursing Advising Office provides academic advising services to all pre-nursing students pursuing application and admission to the Pre-Licensure Nursing Program. Both the Student Relations Coordinator and the Academic Advisor serve students in areas pertaining to program admission, general education and pre-requisite course planning, academic concerns, academic policies and procedures, alternative planning, transfer evaluations, campus referrals and sources of support.

Pre-nursing students will have opportunities to meet with advisors during group advising sessions, individual appointments, and walk-ins. Group advising sessions are held each semester for first-year students to assist with schedule planning needs. It is the expectation for all first-year students to attend these sessions, while second-year students are encouraged to schedule individual advising appointments to allow time to review progress towards admission and alternative plans of study.
