Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Nursing

Note: This program is for prelicensure students—individuals who are not currently registered nurses.

Welcome to the Basic Nursing Program in the School of Nursing at Minnesota State University, Mankato. This program is designed for students without a previous degree that wish to pursue a baccalaureate degree in nursing and eventual licensure as a Registered Nurse. The program is challenging and rewarding. Our program offers students the opportunity to practice in a variety of settings in both rural (Mankato area) and urban areas (Twin cities). As Basic Nursing Program Coordinator, I am responsible for coordinating activities within the basic nursing program and monitoring student progression. It is a privilege to work with our students who are eager to join the nursing profession and faculty who are committed to educating students in a caring environment. Please feel free to contact our pre–nursing advisor if you have further questions about our program. Thank you for visiting our web site.
