- HP 372 - Exercise Science for Coaches (3)
- HP 451 – Principles of Coaching (3)
- HP 462 – Sports Administration (2)
- HP 470 – Psychology of Coaching (3)
- HP 482 - Coaching Practicum (1)
- HLTH 210 - First Aid and CPR (3)
Required Electives - Choose two of the following courses (2 credits)
- HP 301- Swimming Theory
- HP 302- Wrestling Theory
- HP 303- Volleyball Theory
- HP 304- Track & Field Theory
- HP 305- Baseball Theory
- HP 306- Football Theory
- HP 308- Hockey Coaching Theory
- HP 309- Basketball Coaching Theory
- HP 310- Softball Theory
- HP 311- Cross Country Theory
- HP 316- Tennis Theory
- HP 317- Golf Coaching Theory
- HP 318- Soccer Theory
* Students wanting to take these theory courses will need to see the instructor for permission to register.
Prerequisites: Coaching Theory in sport wanting practicum or member of an intercollegiate team for 2 years in sport wanting practicum and First Aid and Athletic Training.
Note: A practicum student must participate as a coach in a school situation for the full sport season.
Application Deadlines
- Fall Sports – April 1
- Winter Sports – September 1
- Spring Sports – December 1.
