About the Department

Page address:

We offer a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in human performance. Program areas of our department are diverse, but we share a mutual passion of providing hands-on and real-world experiences. Our faculty and students help set the industry standard. We are developing new ways to resolve industry’s problems in sports management, advancing curriculum for tomorrow’s health & physical educators, and presenting and publishing applied research from our various laboratories and facilities.

Minnesota is one of the fittest and health conscience states in the U.S. Regular physical activity is essential for helping prepare tomorrow’s professional workforce to thrive as healthy citizens. Thus, our department administers a physical activity program that supports the general education performance requirement for all students.

The list provided below is just a few of the many reasons why employers hire our graduates. Please browse the various links on our home page to learn more about our faculty and the exciting programs they oversee.
