Dental Hygiene

The dental hygiene curriculum is designed to provide opportunities for a student to develop a sound clinical and theoretical foundation for the practice of dental hygiene. The graduate is prepared to fulfill the dental hygiene roles as clinician, change agent, educator, researcher, and consumer advocate as put forth by the Dental Hygienists' Association.

Family Consumer Science

The Family Consumer Science Department offers a Bachelor of Science degree with four different areas of concentration: Dietetics, Family Consumer Science Education, Family Life and Child Development, and Foods and Nutrition.

Health Science

The Health Science Department offers programs in school health, community health, and alcohol and drug studies. The school and community health programs prepare health professional with expertise in health promotion and disease prevention for employment by public health and community health agencies, health care facilities, business and industry, and schools.

Human Performance

The Minnesota State University Human Performance Department offers undergraduate and graduate professional preparation for a wide range of teaching and non–teaching careers. Our Department's foundation is built upon the expertise spectrum of thirteen full–time faculty, ten of whom hold doctorates. This department, we believe, offers students the best of two crucial worlds in university education. We are large enough to ensure comprehensive opportunity for students, yet small enough to be able to be genuinely student friendly.

Recreation, Parks & Leisure Services

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Leisure Services at Minnesota State University has offered a bachelor of science degree since 1967. As a major in the department, you have three different areas of study to choose from: Leisure Planning and Management, Resource Management and Therapeutic Recreation.

Speech, Hearing & Rehabilitation Services

The Department of Speech, Hearing and Rehabilitation Services at Minnesota State University, Mankato offers two programs:  the Communication Disorders Program and the Rehabilitation Counseling Program.

School of Nursing

The School of Nursing offers opportunities for students to share in a quest for academic and professional excellence among its undergraduate, graduate and continuing education program offerings: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree including Basic program, BS Completion program, LPN to BS program, and the Accelerated program; A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree within the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program or the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) program; A Master of Science (MS) degree within the Nurse Educator (NE) program; Post–nursing Master’s Certificate programs, including NE, FNP and CNS; and Continuing Education offerings.
