Tuition and Financial Assistance
Updated undergraduate tuition and fees for each semester can be found on the Tuition Rates and Fees page.
- You are considered an undergraduate, online student.
- MSU-Mankato is pleased to offer in–state tuition to out–of–state students who take 100% online coursework. Students enrolled exclusively in online courses at Minnesota State University, Mankato for an academic term can submit a request to be charged tuition at a market rate equivalent to the rate charged for on–campus students.
- Exceptions to the 100% Online Learner market rate tuition occur when the student is a resident of a state with a reciprocity agreement with the State of Minnesota; in those cases, the reciprocity rates supersedes the 100% Online Learner rate.
- If you are a resident of Minnesota, you do not need to request the 100% Online Learner status.
Financial assistance for undergraduate students includes loans, grants, and scholarships. To be considered for student loans and other government–based student aid, students must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid, which can be completed on–line by going to the FAFSA website. Information about grants and scholarships is available online at the Campus Hub.
The Financial Aid Programs website includes information about how to apply for aid and types of aid available including special programs.
Once you reach 180 credits, you can no longer receive financial aid or could try to appeal this. Contact Campus Hub if this might be an issue for you.
All questions regarding financial aid should be addressed to the Campus Hub at 507-389-1866 or Toll Free at 1-800-722-0544. Questions can also be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
