Transfer Sequence

This recommended course sequence includes all prerequisite courses for the athletic training major, while transfer students may transfer in credits for BIOL 220, BIOL 230, HLTH 101, PSYC 101 and CHEM 111, and HP 348 (based on acceptance from the University Registrar), the courses HP 140, and HP 341 must be taken at MSU. In addition, clinical observation hours required for program application must be obtained at MSU. Finally, HLTH 210 may be transferred into the program for application purposes, but this course must be re–taken at MSU since it is a First Responder course and contains educational competencies for the major that are beyond the scope of a typical advanced first aid course. This will be evaluated on a case–by–case basis. Note: general education courses should be taken each semester as needed by the student in order to fulfill University requirements.

Formal Application takes place following the completion of all prerequisite courses and other requirements as indicated in the University Bulletin. Application to the program is a competitive process. Due to program accreditation requirements not all students who apply to the program are selected. The application process takes place at the end of each Spring Semester.
